Cressi F1 Mask: Product Overview

Cressi is a family owned and operated water sports equipment
manufacturer and has become one of the most well-known and
well-respected in the entire world. They offer a plethora of
masks to choose from, but in this article I will be focusing on the Cressi F1 mask review.

It is in the low-mid price range when it comes to masks,
so this would be a great option if you are looking for a quality mask
without spending too much money.

The F1’s claim to fame is that it is a frameless mask. Many divers enjoy this design because it can fold to be nearly flat, which makes it easy to carry and pack.

It has a high-grade, soft silicon skirt that attaches to a single glass lens. My favorite thing about the mask is it provides a snug fit to your face
without sacrificing any comfort.

One great feature of this mask is the adjustable straps are molded directly into the skirt, which reduces drag from the straps flying all over the place.

I also think the lens shape offers a large range of vision, which is extremely important in choosing the right mask.

It comes in many different colors, so you have the ability to add some personal touches to it. It is a great mask for scuba diving, snorkeling, and free diving.

The versatility is great, and that is something that is very important to
me. I want to be able to snorkel and dive with the same mask, and the F1 fits that bill.

Not All Masks Are Made Equally

When it comes to buying scuba equipment, most people overlook the simple items and don’t invest a lot of time researching before they make the purchase. One of those items often overlooked is the mask.

People will just buy the cheapest mask they can find walking through Target (no offense to Target) and expect a flawless diving or snorkeling experience.

Let me tell you, not all masks are made equally! You will have a totally different experience with a $5 mask vs. a premium mask that costs upwards of $100. So do yourself a favor and invest in a quality mask. The last thing you want to happen while diving is have your mask fog, not seal properly, pinch your face, or be uncomfortable in any way.

A comfortable mask leads to a much better diving experience!

The Cons…

If you’ve ever been scuba diving before you know how difficult it can be to ensure that your mask doesn’t fog while underwater. Even if you have the most expensive mask on planet Earth, there is still the risk of fogging without proper care.

This mask is no different. It is worth mentioning that I’ve heard a few people complain that it is hard to keep it from fogging the first time you dive.

I HIGHLY recommend you clean the mask with toothpaste a few times before you use it. If you use a de-fog liquid right before you enter the water (every dive shop should carry some), you shouldn’t have a problem with fogging.

The Ultimate Budget Baller Mask

Overall I am a big fan of the Cressi F1 mask and recommend that you go buy one for yourself. It is a high quality mask for the amount of money you’re spending. If you buy it on Amazon, it only costs $29.99 and has free shipping. It really is the ultimate budget mask.

I can’t stress this enough: invest in a high quality mask. It is extremely important to be comfortable and have a properly functioning mask underwater.

The F1 will check off all the boxes and provide you with a very simple, comfortable mask that you can use diving or snorkeling.
